A Groom’s Surprise Gift!

I can finally post some photos of a session that we shot, a while ago. But they were a surprise gift for a groom – and well, the wedding has passed! I’ve had the privilege of watching this young lady grow up into an incredible young woman. In fact, she was my first ever “client” if you will… the very first person I did photographs for, other than my family. I had the privilege of shooting her senior portraits, followed by engagement photos and now, a special surprise for her now husband. I lament that I was not able to photograph (or even attend!) their wedding, but the Navy has JUST moved us across the country.

With no further ado…

So long…farewell…auf weidersehen goodbye…

The time has come to leave Virginia. We’ve enjoyed almost five years here (a lifetime in our Naval career of moving!) and now it’s onward for the next chapter of our lives. Many mahalos to all the amazing people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with. I truly have had the greatest clients. I appreciate that each one of you trusted me to capture your loved one(s). Many of you have jumped from client, to friend and I treasure each of you. To each and every one of you, I bid you ALOHA!

*oh, and please don’t judge the photo! I took it with my iPhone!

Not just for newlyweds! | Coupeville Boudoir Photographer

So often we forget to keep the fires burning. Life happens. Children happen. Deployments happen. It’s EASY (and wonderful) to express the fire and passion when you are in new love. But don’t forget about maintaing that passion. Recently I did a session for a wonderful friend and all around amazing person – as an anniversary gift for her husband. They’ve been married for 25 years, have three grown children and have traveled the globe courtesy of the US Marine Corp. What an amazing gift and fantastic way to keep the passion alive.

Two things are infinite…

… the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe. – Albert Einstein

Well, as a lesser brained human, I’m prone to generally agree with Mr. Einstein, and in fact, I’ve proven this point very well!  I just realized that I’ve NOT been getting inquiries from my blog – because there was no email account set up in my mail program to receive them.  As you can imagine, an email with the word “seduction” in it garners a LOT of spam… several hundred offers per day for enhancements I just don’t need or want.  I THOUGHT that I had put a different email account up – but apparently, I had not… so if you have tried to schedule a session and I ignored you, I apologize whole heartedly.  It was NOT intentional!  I don’t really market or promote this division of my business and so when things were slow, I just figured it was because of my lack of promotion.

Until I can get a spam filter working more efficiently on my emails – you can contact me at

And just be sure to put boudoir in the subject line…

Gorgeous new backdrop and a fun new product too!

WOW!  I can’t wait to use this drop for a session – This will be gorgeous with black lace, silk or satin.  And how about this for a fun little something for your special man?  A wallet sized accordion album with a metal cover, presented in a custom metal tin.  Small enough to tuck into a travel bag – yet still makes a BIG impact.
